Summer Pre-K Program
The Success By 6 Summer Pre-Kindergarten Program is a free program administered in each of the nine Oswego County School Districts for four weeks every summer. The Summer-Pre-K Program does not focus solely on academics, but is instead designed to prepare children socially, emotionally, and behaviorally to be ready to learn upon entering school.
The Food Bank of Central New York partners with Success By 6 to provide daily breakfasts to most of the classrooms, and a representative from Cornell Cooperative Extension visits each classroom to present a fun, interactive sun safety lesson, complete with “magical” UV bracelets for each child.
