211 is a 3-digit, easy contact phone number that answers human service needs and questions. Implemented in Oswego County in February 2015, 211 was a collaborative effort throughout Central and Northern New York State. 211 is available to community members 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Oswego County is one of the last counties in New York State to receive 211 and the United Way of Greater Oswego County is pleased to have been part of the collaborative efforts to provide this service.

Previously the Community Services Directory was the county’s reference guide to services and programs provided by human service agencies. The 2017 Community Services Directory was a collaborative project between the United Way of Greater Oswego County and the Oswego City-County Youth Bureau.
