DSS Event Benefits United Way

Fulton, NY ? Staff, family, and friends of the Oswego County Department of Social Services (DSS) gathered to show their support for one of Oswego County?s most vital agencies, United Way, as they participated in the 7th Annual DSS Spring Fling Bowl-a-Thon at Lakeview Lanes in Fulton.
The DSS employee bowl-a-thon raised more than $934 in support of United Way.? ?This year?s Spring Fling featured a Fiesta theme and hosted 7 teams and 34 bowlers as well many more that joined us to watch the fun,? said John Ferry, coordinator of Child Support Enforcement at DSS. ?”Thank you to all the bowlers and community members that came out to support the event, especially the DSS Hospitality group and our United Way fundraising staff that helped to organize the event.?
Ferry added that DSS staff recognizes the positive impact that United Way has in Oswego County. ?Several?of our partner?agencies rely on the United Way to help fund the many programs that are so important to our family, friends, & neighbors.? We at DSS support the United Way because we see the tremendous need here in our community and know that the United Way and its partner agencies are critical to the success of our community.?
