Exelon Employees Powering United Way Campaign
?Site coordinator Lisa Dashnau along with Terry Syrell and Todd Fiorenza as site sponsors makes up an amazing campaign team. They are doing a fantastic job,? said United Way Resource Development Director Ali McGrath.? ?Exelon employee donations are up 28% over last year?s campaign!??? Their dedication and commitment to United Way and our mission to drive positive results in the community are inspiring.?
With a goal of increasing employee participation, Exelon?s campaign team is doing just that. Currently ranked 3rd in their nuclear fleet for most increased donations this campaign is a direct reflection of the team?s efforts.? In addition to payroll deduction, employees have opportunities throughout the in-house campaign to win a variety of drawings including choice parking spots and airplane tickets awarded by Exelon Generation corporate.? Dashnau and her committee members also partnered with GJP Italian Eatery Oswego to host a Friends and Family Night where 10% of all sales to those that mentioned NMP United Way were donated to the Exelon United Way campaign.
As longtime supporters of the United Way, Exelon and its employees strive to keep a relationship year round, outside of campaign season as well.? ?We at Exelon realize the tremendous impact that United Way has on our community.? We are dedicated to improving the quality of life in the communities we serve.? Our employees volunteer many hours of their own time each year to lend a helping hand and are happy to do so,? said Exelon Communications Manager Jill Lyon.? ?They?ve more recently reached out to some of United Way?s partner agencies to revitalize volunteer involvement from their employees. In the spring they look forward to assisting ARISE with its ramp building project and continue to support the United Way Golf Tournament in July.?
?We?re fortunate to have the support of Exelon and its employees.? Their generosity plays an important role in the success of our annual campaign and helps make it possible for us to continue to reach our three impact areas of ending hunger, helping children and youth succeed, and increasing the health and well-being of our communities,” added McGrath.
