Richard Shineman Welcomes Ali McGrath to the Leadership Oswego County Class of 2017 / 2018Oswego, NY – Richard S. Shineman Foundation Board Member Kathy Fenlon (l) welcomes United Way of Greater Oswego County Resource Development Director Ali McGrath (r) to the Leadership Oswego County class of 2017 / 2018. Offered through SUNY Oswego?s Office of Business and Community Relations, the program explores community trusteeship, leadership skills, current issues and networking to a diverse group of community residents. Leadership Oswego County prepares these residents to become the community stewards of the future. The group embarks on a nine-month course on Oswego County, its resources, countywide vital issues, and the skills needed to become community trustees. Graduates of the program are better prepared to serve the community in the roles of board member, citizen, employee or volunteer with organizations that serve Central New York. ?I?m excited about being a part of Leadership Oswego County,? said McGrath. ?It?s a great opportunity for me to meet tomorrow?s leaders and learn more about the community that I love.? McGrath is being sponsored through a discretionary grant from the Richard S. Shineman Foundation.
