United Way Kicks Off Stuff-A-Bus Campaign

Oswego, NY ? Executive Director of United Way of Greater Oswego County Patrick Dewine has announced that the annual Stuff-A-Bus Campaign is underway.
Working in collaboration with the Oswego County Teachers Association (OCTA), the Civil Service Employees Association (CSEA), school districts throughout Oswego County and area businesses and organizations the annual Stuff-A-Bus Campaign collects donations of school supplies for distribution to less fortunate students throughout Oswego County.
?We are very appreciative of the effort that OCTA, along with CSEA, and all of our county school districts put forth to help make the Stuff-A-Bus Campaign a success.? Hundreds of families benefit from this campaign and are grateful for the supplies they receive.? This would not be possible without the support we receive from the businesses and organizations that host their own school supply collections and serve as official donation sites for the Stuff-A-Bus Campaign and the area school districts that host the distribution of the school supplies,? said Executive Director of the United Way of Greater Oswego County Patrick Dewine.
The following businesses are currently accepting donations for the Stuff-A-Bus Campaign.? The campaign will culminate with a special collection day to be held August 24 when school buses will be at these sites from 8:30 a.m. ? 3:00 p.m. to accept donations of school supplies from pens and pencils to notebooks and backpacks.

- Wal-Mart on Route 104 in Oswego
- Wal-Mart on Route 3 in Fulton
- Kinney Drugs at 3318 Main Street in Mexico
- Kinney Drugs at 3873 Rome Road in Pulaski
- Kinney Drugs at 17 South 1st Street in Fulton
- The Hannibal Village Market IGA, Route 3 in Hannibal
- Fulton Savings Bank Plaza, Route 57 in Phoenix
Additionally, on Saturday, July 30 from 8:00 am ? 11:30 am The Club House Tavern 126 West Second Street in Oswego, will host a breakfast in support of United Way?s annual Stuff-A-Bus campaign.? Sponsored by Eagle Beverage, Peter and Ann Wiltsie, and The Club House Tavern the breakfast is open to the public.? The suggested minimum donation for the breakfast is $5.00 for adults with children 10 and under free.? There will also be drawings for a chance to win a Labatt?s Mountain Bike, courtesy of Eagle Beverage and a 12-foot Pelican Kayak courtesy of The Club House Tavern, both of which are on display at The Clubhouse Tavern / Spencer?s Ali.? Tickets for the Labatt?s Mountain Bike drawing are $1.00 each.? Tickets for the 12-foot Pelican Kayak drawing are $5.00 each.? There will also be a 50 / 50 drawing with all proceeds benefiting the Stuff-A-Bus Campaign.
Dewine said that the school supplies collected through the Stuff-A-Bus campaign will be distributed to students in their respective school districts, while supply lasts, according to the following schedule.? A copy of your child’s 2015-2016 School Report Card will be required for entrance to pick up school supplies.
